💡 Every Contact Lens Wearer Needs a Backup Pair of Glasses
We say this with love — if you only wear contacts, you're one lost lens away from a bad day. Here's why having a great pair of glasses as a backup is always a smart idea:
- Running low on contacts? Life happens — shipments get delayed, you lose a lens, or you simply forget to reorder. A backup pair of glasses means you're never stuck.
- Eye conditions & infections. If you develop an eye infection or irritation, your doctor will tell you to stop wearing contacts immediately. Glasses let you keep seeing clearly while your eyes heal.
- Dry eyes & screen fatigue. Extended contact lens wear — especially with long hours on screens — can cause dryness and discomfort. Switching to glasses gives your eyes the break they need.
- Travel & emergencies. Glasses don't need solution, cases, or a mirror to put in. They're the most reliable vision correction you can have on hand.
Think of glasses not as an alternative to contacts — but as your essential backup that protects your vision no matter what life throws at you.

📝 Glasses Prescription vs. Contact Lens Prescription — What's the Difference?
This is one of the most common questions we get! Here's the short answer: they are not the same thing, and you cannot use one in place of the other.
Glasses Prescription
Corrects your vision at a fixed distance from your eye. Includes SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD, and PD measurements.
Contact Lens Prescription
Contacts sit directly on your eye, so the prescription must account for that. It includes additional measurements like Base Curve (BC) and Diameter (DIA), plus the specific brand of lens — and requires a separate contact lens fitting with your eye doctor.
💡 Bottom line: If you only have a glasses prescription, you'll need to visit your eye doctor for a contact lens exam before ordering contacts.
